Red Letter Christians - Moral Majority

I'm saddened that faithful people in the church continue to be blind to the way in which their quest for political power always ends up undercutting what they sought to do in the first place. Once the Moral Majority and the Religious Right tasted political power they lost their bearings as badly as televangelists consumed by greed and status. And now Tony Campolo and the "Red Letter Christians" and others like Jim Wallis in the Religious Left are falling into the same trap. Ft Worth Star Telegram had this op-ed that I think speaks volumes.
