Today, I'd like to join my voice expressing thanks to the many people who served our country in the military.
Most volunteered, many did not.
All deserve the gratitude of every American.
Today is about giving respect and honor. Not politics.

Right on!
Respect and honor. That requires our looking beyond ourselves and our own personal interests. Do we Americans still have the capacity to do that? Or is our future more of things like this -- the disabled vets were put at the very back of the Veterans' Day parade in Hartford. Behind the middle school bands, the boy scouts, the girl scouts, all the civic organizations. Once again we proved that it's really all about ME! Honor ME! And by extension, MY kids, My group. AAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH
