New Music Monday Wednesday Edition

This band has been around a long time, though I don't recall ever hearing of them until recently. They just released a new album yesterday, Drums and Guns.

A different sounding band; one that probably won't come across well on ear buds or tiny computer speakers. This is the kind of music that is best heard with those big old monster speakers beloved by 70's hipsters. You know the ones: 4 foot tall McIntosh or JBL's that were so dense you could practically plug them into the wall socket and listen to the electric grid hum......

Check out the video, and there's also cuts from the new cd.

I forgot to mention the name of the band. (Slap side of head I coulda had a V8 hard).
Band is Low out of Duluth Minn.
Which explains the denseness of the music - winter nights are long and cold in the frozen north.

Kurt, Eisley sounded pretty good on the cut you linked.

Seems lately I've shifted into a college radio type listening mode: nothing really hard, metal sounding, lots of spacey instrumentals, soft, haunting vocals. The only thing missing is the smoke cloud and I'd be lost in space.
