Ok, here is one from me
Dave Alvin is pretty cool. Unfortunately his myspace doesn't have the song I was looking for and no one has posted a webjay playlist with him up on it! Go figure....
The other thing is a "check this out" moment. Am I just residually high or can anyone else hear this? Check out the Dead playing in Providence in 1974 Spanish Jam - get into it about the 4 minute mark and let it go for a few minutes and see if you don't hear the foundations of this....
ok. I have listened to the Dead cut again and it STARTS out sounding like Creep...no need to get 4 minutes in.
The phrasing of the chords, the progressions, the piano underlay, Phil's bass, Jerry playing the melody nearly.
