Good show, but not my favorite style of Dead. The 80's were their disco/techno influenced years, which is really evident in the China Cat Sunflower/I Know You Rider jam in this show. From the speed of all the songs I would guess they did more than a line or two backstage before this show...
Some folks measure Dead shows based upon the Dark Star. A telling jam for me is what the band does with I Know You Rider. What songs they connect it to, whether they do it simple, country, jazz, or rockin.
Tapping away.
