Lies or literature?

The other morning as I was driving to work, NPR ran this fascinating story which discussed a clinical psychiatrist's attempt to understand the origin of lying and how a liar's brain might be different from other's. She was studying serious liars.
In summary, the results she got were different than those she theorized. My uneducated recap of it is this - the brain has 2 types of matter. Grey matter is where ideas are created, where thoughts originate. White matter is where this data is moved. Her findings were that those who have tendency to lie ALOT have more white matter than others. Her thoughts based on this finding is that liars are able to access thoughts faster than the rest of us can and so are able to "come up with" lies faster.
I immediately thought of the creative capacities of someone like Robin Williams. Or the skills of great debaters. Or jazz musicians (or other improvisational artists). I bet they have lots of white matter, too.
